OPEN TO MEMBERS OF THE BONSAI SOCIETY OF PORTLAND The Mentorship Group Open to BSOP members, this group meets monthly, usually on Saturdays, currently renting space in a NE Portland church. Basic bonsai skills are emphasized in a small hands-on setting. Mentors and Mentees alike gain skills and understanding of bonsai by working closely with each other in a small group. See the BSOP newsletter for details. The Shohin Group The purpose of the group, Oregon Shohin Kai, is the creation of quality Shohin. Shohin are small bonsai no taller than 8 inches (some say 11 inches). The informally structured group meets monthy (except July, August, September, and December).
