INFORMATION AND GOODS FOR SALE
Bonsai Network Japan sells trees and supplies, offers speakers for seminars, interpreters, and Bonsai Tours in Japan. There is information about "Bonsai Village" (Bon-sai-cho, Omiya-city, Seitama Prefecture), near Tokyo. In 1923 an earthquake damaged bonsai nurseries and collections in and around Tokyo. Many growers and gardeners moved to this new area and Bonsai Village was established in 1925. This is now a center for studying bonsai, and draws people from all over the world. A Bonsai Festival is held there in May each year.

Shikoku Bonsai Near Vancouver BC, Shikoku Bonsai is a design/build firm offering services that address all aspects of Japanese garden planning and landscape. They offer lectures and slide shows on Japanese gardens and workshops on pruning, maintaining and constructing techniques. Bonsai are available for purchase and shipping.

ARTISTS & TEACHERS
Michael Hagedorn who in 2006 completed a 2 1/2 year apprenticeship with bonsai master Shinji Suzuki, of Nagano, Japan, lives in Portland, Oregon where he creates, teaches and writes about bonsai. See his website for the new book about his bonsai apprenticeship, and for many photos of past bonsai work. Michael also provides professional bonsai services such as maintenance and styling, or a presentation for an organization.
The late John Yoshio Naka, "in celebration of a grand master's life. It has been estimated that in all the international world of bonsai, John Y. Naka is easily considered among the top five contemporary greatest masters, the grand masters of the art." This website presents a partial and beginning but representative run-through of this great teacher’s life. Written by Robert J. Baran, researcher, author, and webmaster of the Phoenix Bonsai Society.
Colin Lewis' Bonsai Art Teacher and author, Colin Lewis, who began his career in bonsai at age 8, speaks eloquently of "that fanciful landscape of the mind, where anything is possible." Reading Room, Gallery, and Studio pages provide invaluable and interesting information.
Chase & Solita Rosade Rosade Bonsai Studio is located just outside New Hope, Pennsylvania. After Bonsai study and training in Japan, Chase Rosade started Bonsai classes in 1964. The Studio was established in 1970.
